The town of Carver is a rural community about 10 miles north of the Cape Cod Canal, and 38 miles south of Boston.
Carver's natural resources include an abundance of water, forest land and cranberry bogs. In the 1940s Carver produced more cranberries than any town in the world. Despite dramatic population increases, cranberry bogs are still an important part of the town. Additionally, the bogs, forest land and large amounts of water have served to limit development and retain a rural flavor for the community.
